Commitment to Safety

Ruoom Live, an events program launched by Ruoom Inc., is a communal space that facilitates inclusive discussions and safeguards a respectful, diverse community. As a result, we will not tolerate harassment, targeted discrimination, or any other offensive behaviors from employees, contractors, volunteers, participants or customers.

We ask that all members that want to participate in a Ruoom Live event practice kindness, respect, and non-violence in our virtual and in-person community gatherings. Ruoom Inc. will not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or any other behaviors that put community members at risk; these behaviors include, but are not limited to, racism, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, misogyny, classism, or any other intolerance of marginalized identities.

A company representative will attend and moderate all events. If inappropriate conduct occurs, the individual(s) in question will be immediately removed from the event, and banned from participating in future Ruoom Live events. In addition, said individual(s) will be denied the ability to access or purchase any Ruoom products.

Our company name has an intentional hidden message, meant to promote inclusivity within our brand. The ‘u’ in Ruoom is for–well– you. We want you in the room. Thus, our organization wants to explicitly express our strict and steadfast commitment to advocating for a safe, engaged community.
